PRACTICE RETREAT
23 - 30 March, 2026
Kerala, INDIA | 2026
In this little bay of Kovolam, the Ayurveda is honest, and an unexpected wonder for your tired bones, a deep rejuvenation awaits. It reminds you of dream and a warm vision, exactly the way you imagined having been away from the sun and sea for so long. The 1991 sun coloured umbrellas dancing along the beach, and small pathways leading you to your hotel under the coconut hammock makes you feel lost in a childhood you missed taking with you. Practicing yoga here is not a luxury, it's a way of life. The temples are next to the kiosk, a soft ocean breeze moves in the air, whilst the heat begins to clear what is not yours.
This way of living with a need to rest and a desire for learning offers you a space to receive Yoga, and not "DO" Yoga. This creates a wonderful deep understanding on being a student and teacher of these ancient systems in a place called Gods own country.
The Nature of Yoga in Practice Weeks
Simplicity unfolds in these weeks.
Each day is crafted around your rhythms, your body's intelligence, and your practice. The intention is to receive time and space to learn, start, evolve and embody yoga as a system.
Here, between sea and sky, you'll:
  • Rediscover the system of simple breath and movement
  • Feel the difference between instructions and integration.
  • Let the philosophy, rituals and stillness guide you.
  • Remember what it feels like to move without watching yourself, others or a teacher.
  • Find inspiration living near the ocean, no scrolling, get lost in your own pathways of creation.
  • Practice self care and nutrition with understanding, and receive postures with insight.
  • Give your curiosity a ground.
  • Remember why Yoga was never about posts, brands, likes or perfection.
Practice Flow | What to expect
Dawn Practice
Return to the magic of morning sadhana. No planning, no teaching, no working, no giving to others, no holding space, no following a standard sequence in a drop in class— just you and your supported practice, guided by experienced teachers who wants to see you embody your presence.
Mid-Morning Brunch
Time for being in the ocean, your beach brunch, meditation, journaling, reading and rest space. Allow your body to assimilate sensations being in your own movement journey and with nature, a time for your nervous system to receive.
Afternoon Exploration & Body Work
Treatment time, taking rest, swimming, and finding a small fruit lunch on the beach.
Evening Gatherings
Close the day with rooftop sunset hour and early dinners.

KIND WORDS
Lucy
Hi, I'm Lucia and I practice. I've returned to Bali, India & Ithaca to join Pawo Yoga offerings. A week with Liz is a true balm for my soul. She has a rare gift: not only did she help me grow and evolve in my yoga practice joining her in India last year, but in every week I have now returned to hold a space for myself to rest and rejuvenate.
Time to truly listen to myself again, allowing an inner peace I had almost forgotten to ground back into my body. Liz has an instinctive ability to listen and create a safe environment, welcoming you. where you can open up without judgment. From there, something special happens: you feel seen, supported, and deeply at home.
I'm incredibly grateful to have her in my life, and I can't recommend spending time with her enough, it's the best gift to yourself.

"The greatest gift you can give your life and those that receive you, is your practice."
returning to India…
I reflect on coming here now since 2016, and India since 2014. I have a travellers heart that longs to learn from the way of life that gives human beings their heart space a home. Often coming to India and being a Yogi, you find a place of feeling alone or lost, and looking back now having this perception if yourself as being broken. This is not at all the case. I wish someone whispered in my ear sooner on the importance of being at ease with loneliness, and why the pilgrim in you offers you teachings no school or book can give you. Learning and understanding what this feeling was inside me was so deep in my DNA, not just because I found Yoga in 2012, but because I was never really into the mainstream idea of living a conditioned human life. My ideas as a young girl was shaped by choosing to confront and question everything I was born into, and this gave me an appetite for seeking out the places and theories of God, culture and community and I appreciated the friction Yoga and the Indian and Buddhist schools of thought left in the gaze of my own vision and experience.
I made important decisions to live on my terms early on, that meant India was part of how I shaped work around my value to live differently. So I come to India with it being a home in my heart, when you arrive here for the first time you will notice suffering and liberations in the most simplest away, I leave having purified my ignorance by just being part of her.
Practice weeks have been created so it can be affordable to receive teachings and travelling. You can bring your family, your lover, and a friend. The days are structured so that you can be in practice and have the days to yourself, or with a small group of like minded souls.
My wish is that you don't over think India or label yourself as someone that needs to be found. You are meant to be lost, experience chaos, and live in your conditions. That way creation can birth in you. That is your true nature, God, that is Yoga.
I wish this for you on your journey.
