THE THREAD IN ME
PAWO means “warrior,” but it’s not about fighting the world — it’s about the path of leadership, taking accountability, being brave enough to be gentle with yourself. It’s about courageously opening up to your own nature, even when it’s difficult, and finding the strength to live authentically in a world that often pulls us away from who we really are. It’s about being brave enough to fully live your life.
My work is for the people who feel disconnected — whether it’s from their body, their heart, their work, or their community. Through yoga, breathing, meditation, and sacred living, I help you come back to yourself. We move, breathe, talk, and sit with both the difficult things and the beautiful ones. We create a space where you can feel seen, held, and supported as you reconnect with your own nature.

HI, I’M LIZ
My journey truly began on our farm in many ways. The elements were my first teachers as a young girl. Nature showed me its raw intelligence, a wisdom and taught me lessons that would later weave perfectly with the ancient spiritual traditions I encountered in Nepal, India, Mexico and Bali and my home country South Africa.
For over two decades, I've:
- Studied with master teachers I still make intention to visit and learn from.
- Developed a unique approach that blends Western embodiment practices with Eastern understanding and application.
- Guided hundreds of souls through profound transformation in the story they are living.
- Created sacred containers where deep healing becomes possible because the elements form a deep part of this work.
- Mastered the art of holding space for both light and shadow, as I believe the Union yoga speaks of, lives in the bravery and willingness to see every challenge as a possibility to access the artist in us, a sense of curiosity, our innate creativity.
But my deepest credential isn't in my trainings — it's in my lived experience of this work. I have travelled extensively and the road inwards remains the greatest destination. Every year, as I return to my intention to remain the student, I witness my own heart filled with magic, how the teachings enable skilfull transformation, not just for my retreat participants, but myself. This is circle where we are all equal, living wisdom, constantly evolving, constantly deepening.
I know you arriving here at the PAWO Temple to share your story is no coincidence, welcome to our community.
