Ithaca, Greece | 2026
These weeks in Greece aren't about becoming a better person, teacher, human — though you will. They're about remembering how to be a student and just you. Returning to the heart of practice itself, with what you have, where you are now, in the perfect conditions and consciousness to create your practice in presence.
Each dawn begins in silence. No phones, no emails, no urgencies — just you and your breath, moving with the Mediterranean light. Ancient stones hold space for your remembering, and clear waters wash away years of trying to be everything for everyone.
Yes this is Greece. Where practice becomes allegory, philosophy, poetry.

The Nature of Yoga in Practice Weeks
Simplicity unfolds in these weeks.
Each day is crafted around your rhythms, your body's intelligence, and your practice. The intention is to receive time and space to learn, start, evolve and embody yoga as a system.
Here, between sea and sky, you'll:
- Rediscover the system of simple breath and movement
- Feel the difference between instructions and integration.
- Let the philosophy & islands stillness guide you.
- Remember what it feels like to move without watching yourself, others or a teacher.
- Find inspiration living near the ocean, no scrolling, get lost in your own pathways of creation.
- Practice with understanding, practice with insight, practice with your senses and mind becoming skilful teachers in finding what your devotion can offer you.
- Give your curiosity a ground.
- Remember why Yoga was never about posts, brands, likes or perfection.
Practice Flow | What to expect
Dawn Practice
Return to the magic of morning sadhana. No planning, no teaching, no giving to others, no holding space— just you and your practice, guided by experienced teachers who understand the journey of being someone to everyone. Mid-Morning Brunch
Time for being in the ocean, your beach brunch, meditation, journaling, reading and rest space. Allow your body to assimilate sensations being in your own movement journey and with nature, a time for your nervous system to receive. Afternoon Exploration & Body Work
Kayak, siesta, snorkelling, a mediterrean lunch. Explore other beaches and parts of the island or just stay under an olive tree. Receiving massages, body work, and treatments fill hours in your free time.
Evening Gatherings
Close the day with summer night walks, dinner in the bay with a small group or on your own.
KIND WORDS
I have always been skeptical about going to a yoga retreat for fear of being “yoga”ed out by fellow yogis. I did not quite know what to expect from a practice week with Liz in Ithaca and am happy to have found the time to join this year. Being in a small group, it is almost like a private practice week with Liz but at a much more affordable price tag.
Practice week in Ithaca means more flexibility to learn your self practice, more time to reflect on your own postures and progress, hang out with your friends and new friends (or not, as you please), and more time to explore the very many beautiful nature activities that Ithaca has to offer.
From this week:
- In terms of yoga, Liz is one of the best teachers I have come across in London (in terms of instructions and guidance in particular) so you will get a lot of attention from her and yet she guides you to be able to take the practice with you once you leave the island back to your daily life. I have been back for 6 weeks and I have managed to do self practice twice a week.
- In terms of discovery and reflections, you will be in good hands if you are at that stage of your journey and I have had different inspirations from her through our conversations.
- In terms of discovering Ithaca, Liz is almost local so you will benefit from all the recommendations about activities or restaurants on the island. From where we do yoga, you can literally jump into the sea before and after yoga for a swim. The water is so clear that you will see plenty of beautiful fish swimming towards you. I am not a swimmer and in fact afraid of open sea and I went into the sea and had a tremendous time swimming. You can also kayak or do stand-up paddling in the afternoon after yoga.
- For a total unwind and to get the most of the week, 7 days is perfect duration but i will also be happy to go for 4-5 days to make it easier for people to fit in their busy schedule.
- My favourite moment, in this order
- the amazing healthy breakfast that Liz lovingly prepared for us every morning after breakfast
- yin yoga in some of the afternoons
- watching magical sun rise on the beach
- very many iced coffees we had there
I will definitely go back and I would love to bring a few friends of mine to experience it too.

leaving for Ithaca...
I reflect on living in London teaching before the whole world changed in 2020. There was nothing else I wanted more, then and now. Living in a concrete jungle gives you a yoga family, deep relations, teachings take a form, our day to day lives receive stamina, and we alongside each other.
Yet silence, nature and my solitude at the time was ready to make new agreements too.
I made important decisions, sitting with threads of what it meant to stay, or go, we all did, and courage and change found a new meaning, so did the unknown.
I felt grateful that Yoga had left an ocean of that stamina in my bag, the home I was contemplating resided in me. This awareness, and my ignorance offered growth and courage, the root of understanding was my compass to keep moving and living.
So I left for Ithaca with and home being on my mind, my love for her was old, when you arrive here for the first time you will notice many things, I will leave most of it for you to come and find.
You can bring your family, your lover, an aunty. The days are structured so that you can be in practice and have the days to yourself, or with the group on our deck and with those you love.
There are only 3500 Ithaki's. The island is small, no one cares about selfies, the cicadas are singing for love, and the ocean sits at your feet, reminding you of places in silence, kindness, and unspoken peace.
I wish this for you on your journey.
